Instructor Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to anyone creating a course on the STUF learning portal. Please read them before applying.
1. The course is free
Every course created through this platform is offered to learners entirely free of charge. Instructors do not receive payment from STUF, and may not charge learners directly for content delivered through the platform.
2. Review before publishing
Every course, and every piece of content within it, is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to learners. Our target is to complete this review within 2 working days of submission. We may request changes, or decline to publish content that does not meet our standards for accuracy, appropriateness, or quality.
3. Content standards
Content you submit must be your own original work, or work you have the legal right to use and share. It must be accurate to the best of your knowledge, free of plagiarism, and appropriate for an audience that includes undergraduates. We reserve the right to remove content, or suspend an instructor account, if these standards are not met.
4. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the original content you create. By submitting a course, you grant STUF a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute and promote that content on the STUF platform for as long as the course remains active, including in connection with certificates issued to learners who complete it. This licence does not transfer ownership of your work to STUF, and you may request removal of your course at any time, subject to a reasonable transition period for enrolled learners.
You confirm that any third-party material you include (images, quotes, data, or similar) is either your own, used with permission, or used under a licence that permits this kind of use, and that you are responsible for that clearance, not STUF.
5. No guarantee of approval
Applying to become an instructor, or submitting a course proposal, does not guarantee approval. Our team makes that decision based on programme fit, content quality, and platform needs at the time.
6. Conduct
Instructors are expected to follow our Code of Conduct in all interactions related to the platform, including with learners.
