Writing Fellowship is designed for undergraduates and recent graduates who want to build a real writing portfolio.

You can apply if you:

  • Be an undergraduate or recent graduate.

  • Want to build a real, published writing portfolio.

  • Have no prior published work required, just a willingness to write.

  • Can take editorial feedback seriously and revise your work.

  • Can commit to the full cohort, including lesson and article deadlines.

  • Plan to participate actively in your assigned pillar and community.

A reliable internet connection, consistent participation across the cohort, and meeting lesson and article deadlines set by your editor.

What happens after I submit a piece?
Your editor reviews it, leaves feedback, and works with you through revisions. Approved pieces are published on the STUF blog under your own name.
Is there a deadline to apply?
Check the application section above — if applications are open, you will see a form and any deadline listed there. If they are closed, you can join the waitlist to be notified when the next cohort opens.
